So, what is this all about?

HexGL is a futuristic, fast-paced racing game I built using HTML5, Javascript and WebGL. I've been working on this side project for a little less than two months now, and I'm pretty happy about it!

Why making this game?

I've been using WebGL and three.js for quite a while now, and I wanted to see if this newly aquired knowledge would be enough to make a complete game, from A to Z.

Another reason is that I'll soon be looking for an internship (starting feb.) in 3D and/or web dev, so I told myself I needed a solid project I could show to the companies I'll be meeting.

What to expect in the near future?

Today, I'll be releasing HexGL in Open Beta. This will (hopefuly) help me clear out the last bugs in the core code.

After that I plan on writing an article or two about the making of HexGL, as well as improve and release new tracks and ships whenever I have the time to do some 3D modelling!
